Project OverView
For this project, I had the chance to work with a ministry at Gospel Grace Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, to help create a visual identity for their Gospel Grace College Fellowship (GGCF), a community-oriented ministry for those in the local colleges. I developed a logo mark, brand guidelines, and created a clear identity to help aid the ministry in its goals!
The Process
To begin with this project for Gospel Grace College Fellowship within the ministries of Gospel Grace Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, I met with the pastor who leads and oversees the ministry, Josh Lankford, to discuss the needs of the brand.
After this, I drafted various logo marks, researched surrounding ministries, and studied the ministry's integration within the church itself. We need the logo and assets to fit in well with the other logos already pre-existing within the church, but still stand out well and show the kind of youth and energy that goes along with college ministry. After a round of revisions and changes with Pastor Josh, I made several changes, reorienting the direction from a crest-like logo to a pennant-shaped logo, capturing a collegiate feel without an aspect of immaturity.
From there, I further developed the logo mark and assets digitally, creating a brand identity that the pastor and leadership team felt was successful and perfectly fitted to the ministry. After this, I created visual guidelines for the ministry, created the various logos and forms needed by GGCF, and created further mockups and signage for their future events. Overall, this was one of my favorite projects to work on, and I was extremely pleased with the results!
